Parking Brake System: Adjustments

Notes: Due to the automatic rear wheel brake adjustment the Hand brake does not normally need to be adjusted. Adjustment is only necessary after replacing Hand brake cables, brake calipers or brake discs.





^ Remove switch panel together with storage tray - 1 -.
^ Remove rear cover panel - 2 - on center console.





Adjusting nut - arrow





^ With Hand brake lever in released position, tighten adjusting nut until lever - arrow - lifts off the brake caliper stop.
^ A gap of maximum 1.5 mm from stop - arrow - is permissible on each side.
^ Pull Hand brake on three times and then release again.
^ Check that both wheels turn freely while Hand brake lever is released.
