Seat, Removing And Installing







NOTE:
- The removal and installation procedures may have to be modified slightly depending on equipment variants.
- Obtain radio code before disconnecting battery.

CAUTION:
- Observe safety regulations for performing work on airbag.
- For cars with side airbags, follow instructions for installing seat.
- Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap before removing seat.







1 - Front seat

Removing
- Push seat forward.
- Remove screws - 2 - (2x).
- Push seat back.
- Remove trim covers.
- Remove screws - 3 - (2x).
- Tilt seat back and unplug connectors.

Installing
- Installation is performed in reverse order of removal; note the following points.

Vehicles with side airbag:
- Switch ignition on.

CAUTION: Make sure no-one is in vehicle when connecting battery.

- Connect battery Ground (GND) strap.

NOTE:
- After connecting the battery, check vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric windows).
- If the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 signals a malfunction after assembling, then DTC memory must be erased and checked again using vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 A scan tool.

2 - Bolts (2x)
- Tightening torque 30 Nm
3 - Bolts (2x)
- Tightening torque 30 Nm
