Test requirements
- Battery voltage at least 12 V
- Fuel filter OK
- Switch ignition off

Test sequence
- Open cover of fuse box at left side of instrument panel.
- Remove fuse -S228- at fuse carrier (position 28, left row, 5th large fuse from top).







- Connect VAG134B/3A remote control connection using adapter cables from VAG1348/3 - 2 at right terminal of socket from fuse -S228- (arrow).
- Connect clamping terminal to B+.
- Remove fuel filler cap from fuel filler unit.


WARNING!
Fuel supply pipes are under pressure! Before removing from hose connection wrap a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully pulling hose off connection.







- Disconnect fuel return line -1- from -2- (press release button).
- Connect VAG1318/17 adapter to fuel return line from engine and hold in a measuring container.
- Operate remote control for 15 seconds (keep button pressed).







- Compare fuel quantity pumped with specified value.
*) Smallest quantity cubic cm /15 s
**) Voltage at fuel pump with engine off and pump running (approx. 2 volts less than battery voltage).
