Control Module For Navigation With CD- Mechanism -J401- (Roadster), Removing And Installing

The control module for navigation is located in the rear panel behind the passenger seat.

Removing
- Open right storage compartment behind passenger seat.
- Remove right storage compartment (with navigation).







- Remove mounting bolts -2- (2 Nm) at installation frame.
- Remove installation frame -4-.
- Disconnect electrical harness connectors and antenna wire (GPS) at rear of control module for navigation with CD drive.
- Unscrew the four mounting screws -6- (2 Nm) at left and right at control module for navigation with CD drive -7-, and remove it from the installation frame -4-.

CAUTION: Use only original bolts when securing control module. Otherwise, the control module may be destroyed.

Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.

Notes for installation:
- The control module for navigation and the installation frame must be installed together in a horizontal position and free from vibration to avoid system trouble.
- The ventilation slots of the control module may not be covered once installed.
