Hood Latch Release Cable: Service and Repair

Hood Lock Cable, Removing And Installing







1 - Hood lock cable

Removing:
- Remove compartment on driver's side.
- Unscrew bolts - 3 -.
- Detach cable at support -arrow B- and disengage end of cable -arrow A- at lower section of hood lock - 3 -.
- Pull off securing clips - 2 -.
- Disengage hood lock cable from holder - 4 -.
- Pull through cable - 1 - toward passenger compartment.

Installing:
- Install in reverse order.







2 - Securing clip
3 - Lower section of hood lock
- Can be moved to adjust hood height
4 - Holder for hood lock cable
5 - Hood lock release
6 - Expanding nut
7 - Self-tapping screw
- 1.5 Nm
8 - Grommet
- When installing, make sure it is fitted properly
9 - Corner guard
- Must be fitted over metal edge
