Assembly overview
NOTE: Convertible top must be removed before removing hydraulic pump.
1 - Ball stud
2 - Rubber washer
- Rubber washer must be pushed onto ball stud - 1 - before attaching hydraulic cylinder - 3 -.
3 - Right hydraulic cylinder
4 - Spring clip
- To remove hydraulic cylinder, lift spring clip slightly using a screwdriver and pull cylinder off ball stud.
5 - Ball stud
6 - Clip
7 - Noise chamber
8 - Torx bolt
- 8 Nm
9 - Solenoid valve
CAUTION: Solenoid valves must only be threaded into the hydraulic pump in activated (energized state) using output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM).
10 - Sealing ring for solenoid valve
- Replace
11 - Sealing ring for oil reservoir
12 - Oil reservoir
- Lightly oil sealing ring before assembly.
- To assemble, twist oil reservoir while pushing on.
13 - Torx bolt
- 2 Nm
14 - Hydraulic pump
- Remove convertible top before disassembly.
15 - Oil filler plug
- Oil level must be between "MIN" and "MAX" markings.
- Oil for convertible top hydraulics: G 002 000
16 - Insulation
17 - Left hydraulic cylinder
- With connection for microswitch.

- Hydraulic line to left cylinder with control wire for microswitch.
- Wires must be unclipped from retaining clamps before removing hydraulic pump.
