Wind Deflector Panel, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Assembly stand for Roadster convertible top with securing plates for wind deflector VAS 5219
- Transmission lifter VAS 1383 A

NOTE: Do not remove wind deflector until after removing toothed belt from vehicle.







1 - Wind deflector panel
- Remove rear wind deflector cover
- Remove wind deflector
- Position assembly stand VAS5219 on transmission lifter VAS 1383A.
- Thread wind deflector to transverse beam of assembly stand VAS5219.
- Remove toothed belt
- Slide panel uniformly upward by hand while pressing cover for wind deflector forward
- Remove left and right threaded shaft
- Press guide - 3 - and frame - 2 - apart on one side and disengage guides - 3 - from frame - 2 -.

- When sliding panel - 2 -, upward, press front wind deflector cover - 1 - rearward so that the panel - 2 - slides by the front wind deflector cover - 1 -.
