Removing and installing rotor on rear axle
Removing
- Raise vehicle.
- Remove wheel.
- Remove the brake caliper.
- Hang up brake caliper on bodywork.
- Inspect rotor for signs of damage or dirt.
- If the rotor is damaged, remove the drive axle with rotor and replace the outer joint.
- Removing and installing drive axle, Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain
Installing
Install in reverse order.
- Route speed sensor cable back in original position, see removal.
- Grease the O-ring of the speed sensor all around with lubricating paste G 000 650 before inserting.
Note:
^ If the rotor is damaged or dirty remove the drive axle. In the event of damage, replace outer CV joint together with rotor.
^ The outer CV joint is supplied as a replacement part with the rotor.
