Tail Lights, Servicing (sedan)


CAUTION!
Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap before working on the electrical system.


NOTE:

- Before disconnecting the battery determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.
- After reconnecting the battery, check and activate the vehicle's electrical equipment (radio, clock, comfort and convenience features, etc.).







1 - Harness connector for tail light
- Terminal assignments
2 - Bulb carrier
3 - Body
4 - Nuts with washers M5 (4x)
- 4 Nm (35 In.lb)
5 - Brake light bulb
- 12 V, 21/5 W
6 - Turn signal bulb
- 12 V, 21 W
7 - Backup light bulb
- 12 V, 21 W
8 - Rear fog light bulb
- 12 V, 21 W
9 - Tail light auxiliary wiring

- Clipped to back of tail light
10 - Tail light
- Seal is glued to tail light
11 - Tail light trim
- Painted same color as car
- Locked into tail light
- Always remove tail lights, then press catches in one after the other using screwdriver and remove trim


NOTE: The trim can be secured with a self-tapping screw (4.2 x 9.5) (item -12-) for repairs.

- Only install if necessary for repairs
13 - Light socket with tail light bulb
- 12V, 5 W
(glass socket lamp)
14 - Trunk lid
15 - Harness connector for license lamp
