4-Way Relay Carrier In Electronics Box In Plenum Chamber, Removing And Installing

Removing







- Remove rubber seal from plenum chamber cover in direction of arrow.
- Remove plenum chamber cover -1- from the front.







- Use a screwdriver to pry off the two caps -3-.
- Loosen hex nuts -4- a number of turns.
- Loosen wiper arms -2- by tilting them gently from wiper shaft.
- Remove hex nuts completely and remove wiper arms.
- Pull off securing clips -1- and remove cowl panel grille -5-.







- Remove electronics box cover in plenum chamber -arrows-.







- Pry off retainer using a screwdriver -arrows-.
- Move engine control module to one side with cables connected.
- Unclip retainer for transmission control module.
- Move transmission control module to one side with cables connected.







- Release catches -arrows-and pull auxiliary relay carrier in electronics box upward to remove.
- Unclip fuse carrier on 4-way relay carrier.
- Pull out relays and control modules; then unclip appropriate relay carrier.

NOTE:







Precise location of 4-way relay carrier in electronics box in plenum chamber should be taken from appropriate wiring diagram.


Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
