Removing

NOTE: The Front Passenger's Seat Occupied Sensor G128 is only installed on passengers side.

CAUTION: Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

- Remove passenger seat:
- Front seats (standard seat) - vehicles through 10.04
- Front seats (standard seat) - vehicles from 11.04
- Front seats (power seat with memory) - vehicles through 10.04
- Front seats (power seat with memory)- vehicles from 11.04
- Front Recaro seats - vehicles through 10.04
- Front Recaro seats - vehicles from 11.04

- Remove seat pan cover and padding:
- 1.1. Seating area (standard seat) cover and upholstery, removing and installing
- 1.2. Seat pan cover and upholstery (sport seat), removing and installing
- 2.1. Seat pan cover and upholstery (standard seat), removing and installing
- 2.2. Seat pan cover and upholstery (sport seat), removing and installing
- 3.1. Seat pan cover and padding, removing and installing

NOTE: Remove padding only until Front Passengers Seat Occupied Sensor G128 - 2 - has been freed up.







- Remove Front Passengers Seat Occupied Sensor G128 connector - 2 -.
- Carefully remove Front Passengers Seat Occupied Sensor G128 - 2 - from seat padding - 1 -.

- Installing

CAUTION: Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:







- Position circuit board - 4 - from Front Passengers Seat Occupied Sensor G128 - 2 - in cut-out - 3 - in seat padding - 1 -.
- Align Front Passengers Seat Occupied Sensor G128 - 2 - on seat padding - 1 - as shown in illustration.
- Remove protective foil and adhere Front Passengers Seat Occupied Sensor G128 - 2 - to seat padding - 1 -.
