Hydraulic system, assembly overview





1 - Brake fluid reservoir
2 - Supply hose
^ For master cylinder

3 - Hose assembly
^ For plug-in connections on master/slave cylinder
^ Separating from master cylinder and installing
^ Separating from slave cylinder

4 - Grommet
5 - Mounting bracket
6 - Clutch pedal





7 - Master cylinder
^ Removing and installing
^ Clip (arrow A) and seal (arrow B) must not be removed
^ To remove hose/pipe assembly, pull clip (arrow A) out up to stop

8 - Hex socket-head bolt - 20 Nm
9 - Retainer
^ Replace only with master cylinder removed
^ Removing
^ Pressing on

10 - Transmission





11 - Slave cylinder
^ Do not operate clutch pedal after slave cylinder has been removed.
^ Removing and installing
^ After working on hydraulic clutch mechanism, bleed slave cylinder
^ Separating from hose/pipe assembly
^ Brake fluid must not come into contact with transmission

12 - Bleeder valve
^ Tighten to 4.5 Nm
^ Follow correct sequence when bleeding

13 - Dust cap
14 - Clip
^ To remove pipe, pull out clip up to stop





15 - Bracket
^ for hose and line assembly
^ Secured to transmission with slave cylinder

16 - Hex socket-head bolt - 25 Nm
^ Slave cylinder to transmission
^ Self-locking
^ Always replace

17 - Retaining clip
18 - Seal
19 -Securing bolt
^ for brake fluid reservoir

Removing
- Use a screwdriver to remove hose and line assembly, pull out clip -A- Up to stop. Then the hose and pipe assembly can be pulled out.

Installing
- Press in clip -A- up to stop
- Insert hose and pipe assembly into slave cylinder until it is heard to engage.
- Test by pulling on hose and pipe assembly.
