Mast Antenna, Retrofitting


NOTE: If retrofitting an antenna, always use genuine Audi parts to ensure ease of installation and optimum reception.







- Use felt-tipped pen to mark position for antenna hole on left-rear side panel as shown.
a - 88 mm (3.46 in.)
b - 98 mm (3.85 in.)
C - 26 mm (1.02 in.)

- Drill hole for antenna and carefully file down edges.
- Use suction device to remove any loose metal particles and filings.
- Touch up paintwork around hole, applying anti-corrosion agent if necessary.
- Install antenna.
- Install and connect wiring.


NOTE: To avoid electrical interference, always make sure that the antenna is properly grounded.







- Install toothed washer under Ground connection -1-.
