Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Table


NOTE:
- Listed in the following in ascending order of DTCs are all the DTCs which can be detected by the airbag control module -J234. The 5-digit DTCs are only printed out if the V.A.G 1551 printer is switched on.
- In the event of a permanent fault, the fault lamp for the airbag system remains lit until the fault is eliminated and the DTC Memory erased.
- If faults only occur intermittently or if DTC Memory is not erased after fault elimination, such faults are displayed as being "sporadic faults". "ISP" appears on the right of the V.A.G 1551 display and the fault lamp is permanently lit.
- If components are found to be defective, additionally use wiring diagram to check for short circuit and open circuit in wiring to components.
