Trim

B-pillar trim, removing and installing

1 - Screw w/washer assembly
- 1.5 Nm (13 in.lb)
2 - B-pillar trim
Removing:
- Pull cover - 9 - off downward.
- Remove screws - 1 -, - 6 - and - 10 - and pull off trim from outside.







Installing:
- With rear door closed, position trim as shown at top and bottom.
- Tighten front screw w/washer assembly - 1 - to 1.5 Nm (13 in.lb).
- Clearance - a - of 0.3-0.6 mm (0.012-0.023 in.) is attained by pushing trim up to stop toward cover
- Outer lip of rear door window seal must contact entire trim







NOTE: Do not apply too much pressure while pressing the seal against the trim (arrow), otherwise there is a chance of wind noise due to the protruding lip.
- With rear door open, install screw w/washer assembly - 1 -.
- Press grommet - 8 - into trim.
- Install cover - 9 - from below.

6 - Screw w/washer assembly
- 1.5 Nm (13 in.lb)
7 - Expanding nut
8 - Grommet
9 - B-pillar trim cover
- Pull out from below to remove

Rear lid interior trim strip, replacing







Trim strip - 1 - cannot be removed non-destructively.
- Pry off trim strip using plastic wedge.
- Keep adhesive surface free of dust and grease.
- To install rear lid trim strip, remove protective backing from adhesive tape - 2 -, align strip with rear lid - 3 - on left side and clip strip onto catch pins - 4 - one after another.
