Fuel Sender With Fuel Pump -G6- (AWD)



Component Overview Fuel Sender With Fuel Pump -G6 - All Engines







1 Distributor connector
- Fastened with 3 tabs to accumulator
- To remove, move toward left to disengage tabs
- When installing, attach fuel hose to accumulator
- When removing fuel pump module, remove distributor connector to make it possible to remove return line from closing flange
- Different versions
2 Accumulator
- With pump
3 Wiring inside tank
- To fuel level sensor 2 -G169-
- Install at closing flange
4 Electrical wire
- To sender for fuel gauge -G-
- Install at closing flange
5 Harness connector
- For fuel pump and all senders for fuel gauges
- To release, see Fig. 1
6 Fuel return line
- Attached to front part of fuel tank
- Mark line before removing
7 Fuel pressure line
- To fuel filter
- Attached to front part of fuel tank
- Mark line before removing
8 Closing ring
- Remove and install using 3087 wrench
- 145 Nm (106 ft lb)
9 Seal
- Replace if necessary
- Install dry into fuel tank opening
10 Closing flange
- For fuel delivery module
- Not available as replacement part
- Note arrow markings when installing
11 Fuel pump module
- with Fuel Pump (FP) -G6-
- Different versions,
- Only replaceable with catch flange
- Checking fuel pump
- Checking fuel pump - vehicles with 8-cylinder-Turbo engine
- Checking - vehicles with 8-cylinder Turbo engine
- Pressure checking.
12 O-rings
- Always replace
- Check installation position
13 Fuel return line
- To remove fuel pump module, disengage distributor connector and disconnect return line at distributor connector -item 1- while pressing fastening tabs
14 Fuel filter screen
- Cannot be replaced as single part
- Clean if dirty

- Before disconnecting harness connector at fuel pump delivery module, release harness connector. This can be done by hand or using a screw driver -arrow-
