Programming and Relearning
Cruise Control System (CCS), Activating / Deactivating
NOTE:
- Vehicles equipped with CCS, the CCS function must be activated after replacement of the engine control module.
- If the CCS function is activated in the engine control module of a vehicle without CCS, a DTC memory entry is made. If this is the case, the CCS function must be deactivated.
Procedure
- Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS5051 and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics". Connecting VAS 5051 Scan Tool
Ignition must be switched on.
Display on VAS5051:
Vehicles with control module No. 8E0909 ...
- Under -1- select diagnostic function "11 - Coding II".
All models:
Display on VAS5051:
1 - Enter code word
Activate CCS:
- Enter "11463" in zone -2- and confirm entry by pressing -Q- button.
Deactivate CCS:
- Enter "16167" in zone -2- and confirm entry by pressing -Q- button.
- Exit function "11 - Login, or function 11 - Coding II" by pressing <- button.
Display on VAS5051:
- Under -1- select diagnostic function "08 - Read measured value block".
Display on VAS5051:
1 - Enter display group
- Enter "066" for "display group number 066" in zone -2- and confirm entry by pressing -Q- button.
Display on VAS5051:
- Check indication in display field -2-.
Display Group 066:
- Exit function "08 - Read measured value block" by pressing <- button.
- Press "06 - Exit output".
- Switch ignition off.
