Removing

The steering column is only available as a complete unit for a replacement part. Servicing is not possible.
Steering lock housing can be modified.

WARNING!
^ Before removing steering wheel, wheels must be positioned in the straight-ahead position.
^ Observe safety precautions for working on airbags.
^ If these procedures are not observed, the airbag system may not function properly during vehicle operation!

^ Remove airbag unit, Refer to Restraint Systems.
^ Remove steering wheel, Refer to Steering Wheel.
^ Observe procedures for removing steering angle sensor in vehicles with Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
