Seatback Cover, Removing And Installing

Removing

CAUTION: Note safety measures when working with airbag.

- Remove front seat.
- Drive seatback to furthest position.

NOTE: Seatback must not be unscrewed from seat frame.

- Remove headrest.
- Remove seatback cover.
- Remove headrest guides.
- Unhook restraining strip of lower seat cover from seatback.
- Raise seatback cover with cushion up.







- If necessary, disconnect connector - 1 - under trim for seat frame.
- Remove trim for outer seat frame.
- Remove upholstery clip - 2 -.
- Unhook clips - 3 -.
- Remove seatback cushion out of cover.

Installing
Installation is done in reverse sequence, noting the following:
- Slide seatback cushion into setback cover.







- With locally manufactured hook - 4 -, hook clip - 3 - from back through opening.

CAUTION:
- Note installation instruction for vehicles with side airbag.
- In order to ensure function of side airbag, install new upholstery clips when working on seatback cover and install in the same place.
- Use only those seatback covers released by Audi AG for side airbags.
- For vehicles with side airbag, note seat installation instructions.
