Tailgate Contact Switch, Removing and Installing

Removing
- Remove tailgate lock.
- Disconnect harness connector.







- Using a fiat screwdriver, unlock plastic catch -3- at both expanding rivets -4- on removed tailgate lock -1-.
- Press lever -2- in direction of arrow and fold plastic catch -3- toward rear.







- Carefully remove contact switch -3- from tailgate lock -1-.

Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:
- Carefully insert contact switch into the mount in rear lock.







- Fold plastic catch -2- forward again and lock with contact switch.
