On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems are characterized by a control module with detects malfunctioned during operation of the vehicle and stores them in a DTC memory, the information contained in which remains stored even in care of absence of battery voltage.
On Board Diagnostic (OBD) relates to the electrical and electronic part of a system, i.e., only malfunctions which influence electrical signals are detected.
