Partition Grille, Removing And Installing
1 - Retaining rail
- To remove, remove bolts - 3 - (2x) from each retaining rail.
- Tightening torque: 4 Nm (35 in.lb)
When retrofitting:
- Holes are pre-drilled in seat back and covered by seatback material. Perforate these areas using an awl (dimensions Fig. 1).
2 - Partition grille
- To remove, tilt backrest forward, open right-rear door, push partition grille in direction of arrow, and detach from retaining rail - 1 -.
3 - Bolt
4 - Rear eyelet
5 - Front eyelet
- To remove eyelets, remove bolts - 3 - for front and rear eyelets (- 4 - and - 5 -).
- Tightening torque: 6 Nm (53 in.lb)
When retrofitting:
- Mark installation points according to dimensions (Fig. 2) and cut.
- Cutouts are pre-punched on rear side and are covered by headliner
CAUTION: When installing eyelets, opening must always point toward the rear.

- Dimension - a - = 38 mm
- Dimension - b - = 86.5 mm
- Dimension - c - = 355 mm
- Dimension - d - = 66 mm
- All dimensions are measured from the edge of the backrest trim.
Fig. 2 Dimensions for eyelets
- Dimension - a - = 575 mm, measured from grab handle.
- Dimension - b - = 60 mm, measured from bottom edge of molded headliner following contour.
- Dimension - c - = 45 mm, measured from grab handle.
- Dimension - d - = 30 mm, measured from upper edge of edge trim, following contour of molded headliner.
