Basic Setting (Function 04)



Basic Setting (scan Tool Function 04)

After replacing a headlight, level sensor or control module, the basic setting must be initiated. The following points must be taken into account:
- Vehicle must be in precisely defined load condition.

NOTE: For the applicable nominal values and prerequisites for the load condition.

- Settle vehicle (bounce vehicle on suspension several times, then allow vehicle to come to a rest).

Initiating Basic Setting
- Press buttons -0- and -4- to select "Basic Setting" function 04.

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

- Press buttons -0-, -0- and -1- to input display group number 001.
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

- Headlights move into adjustment position.

Adjust headlights


- Headlights are now in adjustment position. Turn on headlights. Basic Setting 1 turns off the adjustment operation and "Headlights not adjusted" is stored in DTC memory.
- Press -> button.

- Press buttons -0-, -0- and -2- to input display group number 002.
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

The control module has now learned that this position is the Home position. The DTC "Headlights not adjusted" is erased and normal operation resumes.
- Press -> button.
