Rear Stabilizer

Note: Align vehicle after carrying out repairs, Refer to Alignment, Description and Operation.

Removing
^ Remove wheels.
^ Remove rear section of exhaust system.





^ Remove nut -2-, remove eccentric washer and eccentric bolt.

Note: Never turn eccentric bolt more than 90° to left or right (i.e. min. - max. adjustment).

^ Swivel tie rod downward.

Vehicles from m.y. 1997





^ Remove nut -1- and then swivel down tie rod.

All models





^ Remove -arrow- anti-roll bar from connecting links.





^ Remove Phillips-head screw -1-.
^ Remove clip -2- from recess -3- at subframe.
^ Remove bushing and anti-roll bar.

Pay special attention to the information when installing

Note: Replace bolts and self-locking nuts as described in instructions in exploded view, Refer to Suspension, Diagrams, Exploded Views.





^ Rubber bushing must make contact with collar -arrow- of anti-roll bar.
^ Insert clip -2- in recess -3- at subframe.
^ Do not tighten Phillips-head screw -1 until vehicle is standing on the ground.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.)

Vehicles up to m.y. 1996





^ Do not tighten nuts -1- and -2- until vehicle is standing on the ground.

Tightening torques
Item 1: 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.)
Item 2: 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs.) plus additional 90° turn

^ Do not tighten nuts -1- and -2- until vehicle is standing on the ground.
