Wiper Motor Linkage: Service and Repair

Wiper linkage & wiper motor, removing

CAUTION: Do not loosen or remove 13 mm A/F nut from wiper motor crank.







- Pry off linkage rod -3- from ball joint -arrow-.
- Remove bolts (10 mm A/F) -2- from wiper motor bracket.
- Remove wiper motor -1 - from bracket.

Installing







- Bolt wiper motor -1 - onto wiper motor bracket together with crank.
- Engage linkage rod -3- again, adjusting end position of linkage at -a-.
- Reconnect electrical connection to wiper motor.
- Insert wiper frame (wiper motor first) into plenum.
- Tilt wiper frame forward and bolt in position (5 Nm).

The remaining steps for installing are the same as for removing but in the reverse sequence.

- Set wiper blades to park position.
