Rollover Protection, Removing And Installing
1 - Rollover protection
- Removing
- Remove rear bench seat.
- Remove rear seat backrest.
- Remove trim for ski bag.
- Close convertible top and fold convertible-top compartment upward.
- Unclip clips -3- (2x) on back panel trim -2-.
- Fold back panel trim -2- aside in direction of arrow.
2 - Back panel trim of luggage compartment.
3 - Clips (2x)
1 - Rollover protection
- Unscrew bolts -2- (2x).
- Fold convertible-top compartment downward.
2 - Bolts (2x)
1 - Rollover protection
- Actuate convertible top far enough to allow access to convertible-top compartment.
- Extend rollover protection -1-

- Unclip clips -3- (2x) on back panel trim - 2-.
- Fold back panel trim -2- aside in direction of arrow.

3 - Clips (2x)
1 - Rollover protection
- Check if and where shims are installed on rollover protection -1-.
- Mark the points where the shims were removed.
- Unscrew bolts -2- (4x).
2 - Bolts (4x)
1 - Rollover protection
- Press catch -3- and detach connector for solenoid valve -2-.
- Pull out rollover protection -1-.
- Installing
- If installed, install shims in same places on rollover protection -1-.
- Retract rollover protection -1-, see Fig.2.
- Ensure that connector for solenoid valve -2- engages audibly.
- Install rollover protection -1- in reverse order to removal.
- Check function of rollover protection with control element test.

WARNING
Ensure that hands do not become trapped when retracting rollover protection.
- Press release lever -1- in direction of arrow.
- Retract rollover protection.
