Vehicle level control system sensor, removing and installing
Note:
^ The vehicle level control system sensor replacement part is only available as an assembly including actuating arm and lower retaining plate. To remove this assembly, remove the subframe.
1. Combi bolt
^ Always replace
^ Tighten to 85 Nm plus additional 90° turn
2. Vehicle level control system sensor
^ Assembly complete with attachments
^ Lever -arrow- must point toward center of vehicle
^ Restore basic setting after replacement
Troubleshooting:
Go to Guided Fault Finding in VAS 5051; automatic headlight range control; Basic Setting
3. Collared bolt, 10 Nm
4. Trapezoidal link
Replacing vehicle level control system sensor in the vehicle
- Remove wheel.
- Unscrew bolt -1-.
- Unscrew bolts -2- with right-angled Allen key. Take care not to bend upper retaining plate while doing this.
Note: For ease of illustration, transverse link is not shown.
- Modify replacement part as appropriate and install.
Note: Hold vehicle level control system sensor securely while tightening bolts -2-.
Tightening torques:
Item 1: 10 Nm
Item 2: 5 Nm
