NOTE:
The immobilizer is deactivated for a period of 10 minutes after every successful log-in function: The operation of system should not be tested during this period.

- Switch ignition off for at least 5 minutes.
- Cover induction coil with a metal plate with cutout, e.g. by placing a fitting shim washer onto the ignition lock and inserting the ignition key into the ignition lock through the hole.
or
- Disconnect wire of induction coil at connector between ignition/starter switch and instrument cluster.
- Start engine.
Engine must be switched off and warning light must flash.
- Initiate On Board Diagnostic (OBD) of anti-theft immobilizer and check DTC memory. Do this using vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051.

One of the following DTCs is indicated on display:
- Key signal too low
or
- Induction coil of immobilizer -D2-

- Erase DTC memory and end output.
