Front axle camber, checking
Camber cannot be adjusted.
It is possible to even out the camber uniformly within the expected tolerance range by shifting the carrier.
- Remove noise insulation panel.
- Remove hex bolts -1-, -2-, -3-, -4-, -5-, -6-, -7- and -8-.
- Slide subframe into respective position using a plastic coated tire iron.
Press at center of subframe between subframe and body longmember.
If no plastic coated tire iron is available, a standard tire iron must be wrapped with tape.
CAUTION!: Do not damage any parts!
Specified values for wheel alignment, Refer to Alignment Specifications
- Screw in new hex bolts -7- and -8-.
- Tighten to 115 Nm plus additional 90° turn.
- Screw in new front hex bolts -5- and -6-.
- Tighten to 110 Nm plus additional 90° turn.
- Tighten new hex bolts -1-, -2-, -3-, and -4- to 75 Nm.
Observe the following!
Every time the camber is corrected, all alignment values should be checked.
