Windshield - Exploded View







1 - Windshield
- Removing
- Installing
- Upon installation push upward to impact absorber stop -2-.
- Align to obtain correct side spacing dimension -d-.


NOTE: Stickers (e.g. for airbag) attached to windshield must be affixed in same position on new windshield.


2 - Upper spacer
- 3 off self-adhesive
- bond onto securing strip at equal distances
- Attach 1x in vehicle center onto windshield flange as well as at a distance of 430 mm to the left and right.
3 - Adhesive bead
- Note setting times.
- Note different spacing of adhesive bead from edge of rear window.
- Distances from upper and side edge of windshield Dimension -a- = 16 mm and dimension -b- = 12 mm
- The distance at the lower edge of the windshield is measured from the outer side of the clamp.
- The distance to the lower edge of the windshield is not at a parallel distance to the windshield edge.

- Bead cross-section
- Bead width = 8 "2 mm
- Bead height = 13.5 "1.5 mm
4 - Bottom spacer
- 2 off self-adhesive
- Attach to the corners at the lower windshield edge.
5 - Windshield adjuster
- Push in on the side at the lower windshield edge up to stop.
6 - Plenum chamber cover
- Before installing plenum chamber cover pull the protective beading out from the securing strip, see Fig.1.
- Do not press into retaining strip until windshield adhesive has set.

WARNING!
Maintain the specified distances of the adhesive bead to the windshield edges, otherwise leaks will result.


- In the lower radii the adhesive bead must be applied from 12 mm distance to the windshield side edge to 25 mm to the windshield lower edge in a uniform curve.
- At the lower windshield edge the adhesive bead must increase from dimension -e- = 25 mm through dimension -f- = 30 mm to dimension - g- = 36 mm.
- Dimension -a- = 16 mm
- Dimension -b- = 12 mm
- Dimension -c- = 92 mm
- Dimension -d- = 63 mm
- Dimension -e- = 25 mm
- Dimension -f- = 30 mm
- Dimension -g- = 36 mm

- Pull out protective beading from the securing strip only after the windshield has been installed.
- Prior to assembly of the plenum chamber cover, the protective beadings -1- must be pulled from the securing strip -2- of the windshield-3-.
