Evaporator Housing Drain, Checking
Evaporator Housing Drain, Checking
- Check routing of evaporator housing drain hose, the hose should not be twisted or pinched.
- Remove evaporator housing drain valve and evaporator housing drain hose.
- Check distance of sound insulation mat in area of opening -E- to vehicle floor (the sound insulation mat should not touch the evaporator drain valve).
- Check evaporator drain valve -C-, the valve should not clotted with wax and undercoating.
NOTE: The evaporator housing drain valve -C- has no flap, the function of the flap is carried out via the spiral in the valve.
- Check evaporator drain hose -B- for soiling (observe oval cross section of hose -D-) and clean if necessary.
- Check evaporator housing drain of air conditioner -F- (for example using a wire) for soiling and clean if necessary.
- If passenger compartment is moist:
- Check air extraction outlets in passenger compartment (via luggage compartment)
- Check recognition signal of windshield wiper operation on A/C control head -E87- Measuring Value Block, display group 014
- Check dust and pollen filter for soiling and the cover for correct installation
- Check various positioning motors and the pertaining levers, pay particular attention to Air Flow Flap Motor -V71- and Recirculation Flap Motor -V113- and the pertaining levers
- Check measured value of Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor -G263- "Read measuring value block" display group "010". If measured value of the sensor is too low under operating conditions specified by Service (at an ambient temperature above 0 degrees C, colder than 0 degrees C for a long period of time), observe notes for testing cooling performance.
