On Board Diagnostic (OBD), Initiating Program

Test requirements:
- Voltage supply and fuses for appropriate system OK.
- Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST).
- Switch on ignition.


NOTE:
- Faults which only occur for brief periods are termed "sporadic faults" and are marked "ISP" on the right of the display.
- To preclude the possibility of such sporadic faults, the DTC Memory must be erased before starting servicing work.
- Additional operating instructions can be called up by pressing the HELP key on V.A.G 1551.
- Next step in program sequence can be selected by pressing -> key.


- Switch on printer by pressing PRINT key (lamp in key lights).
- Press key 1 for "Rapid data transfer".

- Press keys 1 and 5.

- Confirm entry with Q key.
