Roof edging trim (Avant), removing and installing







NOTE: To remove the roof edging trim, the side window does not have to be disassembled.


1 - Roof edging trim
- B-pillar trim removed
- Door seals in area of roof edging trim detached
- Lift cover strip -2- out from roof edging trim.
- Carefully pry roof edging trim out from securing clips -5- (Qty. 7).


CAUTION!
Do not bend or twist the roof edging trim, otherwise it will be visibly damaged.


- Drill off heads of pop rivets -3-, drive out rivet stems and detach roof edging trim.







2 - Cover strip
- For ease of assembly, apply lubricant to edges.
- Press cover strip into roof edging trim from front-to-rear.
