Steering Free Play

NOTE: Two technicians are required for the adjustment.

Preliminary Requirements
- Vehicle on hoist
- Front wheels moving freely
- Engine not running while evaluating play

Procedure





- Tighten adjusting bolt (arrow) from left wheelhousing until resistance is felt in steering.
- Turn adjusting bolt out far enough so that resistance in steering is eliminated.
- Test drive.

NOTE: If the steering does not automatically move back into the straight ahead position while driving, carefully turn adjusting bolt out a little more.

- Test drive.
