^ Replace if damaged or leaking

^ Apply sealing compound to sides of joints, Refer to to Figure 2. before installing gasket, Refer to Parts Supplier
^ Liquid sealant, Refer to Parts Supplier

8 - Bolt (special type) - 10 Nm

^ After replacing, fill with fresh coolant

- Use knife-edge straightedge and feeler gauge to measure at several points.
^ Maximum permissible distortion: 0.1 mm





Figure 2 Sealing sides of joint between bearing cap and cylinder head
- Apply one drop of sealant (approximately 5 mm diameter) to both sides of sealing surfaces between bearing caps and cylinder head (arrows) at front and rear.
