Changes Implemented From Model Year 2002

Notes:

- The change over of the climate control conversion on the Audi allroad does not occur with the 2001 to 2002 model year change, but as a running change in model year 2002.

- When replacing the air conditioning unit or the A/C control head, always observe the additional notes in the parts catalog.

From model year 2002:

- Air conditioner unit versions "3" are installed.

- Starting with model year 2002, A/C Control Heads -E87- are installed that communicate with other control modules via the CAN-bus system

- Depending on engine type, compressors with A/C clutch -N25- or A/C Compressor Regulator Valve -N280- are installed.

- Sensor for air quality -G238- is installed.

- An additional positioning motor for the fresh air/recirculating flap is installed (only on vehicles with left hand steering).

The following components make up the difference between air conditioning unit version "2" and "3".

- Air distribution housing
The air distributor housing has an additional opening, that is the installation location of Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor -G263-

- Air duct housing with intake duct
Version "3" has an intake duct installed, where the air recirculating/fresh air flap is activated via an additional positioning motor.
