Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (Function 03)

Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (function 03)


NOTE:
- Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) is only possible with engine idle and ignition switched on.
- If malfunctions are detected during Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM), determine cause of malfunction and repair.


The following actuators will be activated in sequence in the "On Board Diagnostic (0BD) " function :
- Lower the headlights
- Raise the headlights
- Activating the warning lamp

Test requirements:
- Fuse(s) For respective system OK
- Low beams switched on.

Test sequence
- Initiate On Board Diagnostic (OBD) of automatic vertical headlight aim control, Initiating

- In selection -1-, click on the diagnostic function "03 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD)".

A - 1. Actuator in test
2 - Headlights are lowered
- The headlights will be lowered, until the upper end position has been reached.
- Click on -> button

A - 2. Actuator in test
2 - Headlights are raised
- The headlights will be raised, until the upper end position has been reached.
- Click on -> button

A - 3. Actuator in test
3 - Signal wire to instrument cluster
- Warning symbol (auto. vert. headlight aim control) is indicated in the center display of the instrument cluster.
- Click on -> button

A - Actuator test has ended
- End function "03 - Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)" by pressing <- button.
