Removing
- Remove screw -3- and pull fuel pump downward; fuel hoses -2- and -4- as well as the connector -1 remain connected.
- Use a fuel resistant container to catch ay excess fuel.
WARNING: Fuel supply lines are under pressure. Before loosening any lines, cover the connection with a rag. Release the pressure by slowly separating the connection.
- Remove fuel hoses -1- and -2- from the fuel filter.
- Loosen the hose clamp -arrow-.
- Remove fuel filter
Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal
NOTE: Secure all hose connectors with hose clamps, which correspond to the series conditions.
- Consider the installation position of the fuel filter.
- -Arrow- on the filter housing points to direction of fuel flow.
Tightening torque

Hose clamp for fuel filter 0.8 Nm (8 in. lb)
Retaining clip for fuel pump 1.2 Nm (10.5 in. lb)
