Leaks In Intake System or Exhaust System, Consequences
Leaks in intake system or exhaust system, consequences
A - Leaks behind mass air flow sensor
Components that might be defective:
1 - Gaskets for mass air flow sensor in rear air intake pipe
2 - Connecting hose between rear air intake pipe and turbocharger
3 - Valves, hoses and pipes of overrun air recirculation control and crankcase breather system
Possible effects:
Loss of power
B - Leaks behind turbocharger (intake side)
Components that might be defective:
1 - Connection hoses and pipe between turbocharger and charge air cooler
2 - Charge air cooler
3 - Hose between charge air cooler and front air intake pipe
4 - Gasket of Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31 (in front air intake pipe)
5 - O-ring between front air intake pipe and intake manifold
6 - Gasket between throttle valve control part and intake manifold
7 - Gasket between intake manifold and cylinder heads
8 - Valves, hoses and pipes of overrun air recirculation control and crankcase breather system
Possible effects:
Insufficient charge pressure
C - Leaks before turbocharger (exhaust side)
Components that might be defective:
1 - Joint between turbocharger and exhaust manifold
2 - Joint between exhaust manifold and cylinder head
Possible effects:
Insufficient charge pressure, exhaust smell, soot deposits in engine compartment
