01 MIL on (DTC P1127, P1129, P1136 & P1138)
Condition
DTC P1127, P1129 , P1136 and P1138 may be stored in memory due to air leaks at the MAF sensor seal(s).
Technical Background
This condition is usually associated with MAF sensor removal where seal(s) are not correctly installed prior to MAF sensor installation.

Service
1. Remove air filter housing assembly.
Refer to Repair Manual >> 4.2 Liter V8 5 V Bi-Turbo Engine Mechanical >> Engine Code(s): BCY >> Air filter housing, removing and installing.
NOTE:
MAF sensor seals must remain in the rear air pipes. If a seal is withdrawn from the air pipe during MAF sensor removal, both seals must be replaced.
2. Without removing seals from air pipes, inspect seals for damage.
3. Replace both seals if either seal has damage to the sealing lip.

MAF sensor seals must be properly installed in both rear intake pipes before installing the air cleaner assembly (Figure 1). Sealing lip must face downward.
1. Make sure seals are fully seated into rear air pipes.

Use pressing tool T40044 (Figure 2).
1. Air cleaner housing must be checked for correct installation.

- MAF sensor must be fully inserted into rear air pipes.
- Dimension A = 5mm maximum.
1. Install air filter housing assembly.
