DTC 00296 / P1704

1) One of these indicators is also displayed for the relevant component.
2) First check harness connector for contact corrosion and water ingress, replace if necessary. If there are malfunctions indicated for solenoid valves, pay particular attention to the 16-pin harness connector at transmission between valve body and cable harness.
3) Pay attention to which hydraulic control the transmission has when selecting measuring value block.

Note: For DTC 00296 / P1704:

^ Requirements for malfunction recognition: throttle position signal is OK, throttle position value is less than 25% and kick down input at Transmission Control Module (TCM) is shorted to Ground (GND) (equivalent to kick down signal).
^ Short circuit to B+ between kick down switch -F8- and TCM cannot be detected by OBD.
