Brake calipers, servicing
Rear brakes with automatic adjustment
Notes: Always install the complete repair kit.
1. Brake disc
^ Always replace on both sides of the car
^ Remove brake caliper prior to removing
^ Always dress evenly, on both sides, starting from thickness when new
^ Thickness, Refer to Brakes and Traction Control, Specifications, Mechanical
2. Ribbed bolt, 80 Nm
^ M10 x 125 x 60
^ Always replace
3. Brake carrier with guide pin and protective cap
^ Supplied as replacement part assembled with sufficient quantities of grease on guide pins
^ If protective caps or guide pins are damaged, install repair kit. Use grease sachet supplied to lubricate guide pins.
4. Ribbed bolt, 75 Nm
^ M10 x 125 x 50
^ Always replace
5. Brake pads
^ Always replace on both sides of the car
^ Removing and installing, Refer to Brake Pads, Service and Repair
^ Thickness, Refer to Brakes and Traction Control, Specifications, Mechanical
^ Checking thickness, Refer to Brakes and Traction Control, Specifications, Mechanical
6. Brake disc cover
7. Flange bolt, 10 Nm
^ M6 x 12
8. Self-locking bolt, 35 Nm
^ Always replace
^ When loosening and tightening counter hold on guide pin
9. Brake caliper housing
^ Do not disconnect brake hose when changing brake pads
^ Servicing brake calipers, Refer to Rear Brake Calipers (C38), Servicing
