Front Airbag Crash Sensor, Removing And Installing

CAUTION: Observe safety precautions for working on airbag.







1 - Front airbag crash sensor
- Removing
- Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.
- Depending on engine version, remove air duct, if necessary.
- Release tab at yellow connector - 3 - and disconnect connector.
- Remove two bolts - 2 - on crash sensor - 1 -.
- Installing
- Switch ignition on.

CAUTION: There must be no one in the vehicle when the battery is being connected.

- Connect battery Ground (GND) strap.
2 - Bolts (2x)
- Tightening torque 9 Nm
3 - Connector
4 - Lock carrier

NOTE:
- After connecting the battery observe the necessary measures.
- If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 signals a malfunction after assembly, use vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 A to interrogate, erase and then again interrogate DTC memory.
