Selectable Functions When Using VAG1551/1552 or VAS5051

Selectable functions







NOTE:
- The On Board Diagnostic (OBD) is described with the VAS 5051 Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System.
- The OBD can be carried out in the same fashion using V.A.G1551 Scan Tool or V.A.G1552 system tester. In order to show or explain a possible malfunction(s) later on, it is recommended to print out the malfunction using the VAS 5051 Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System or V.A.G 1551 before erasing the DTC memory ((V.A.G 1552 system tester is not equipped with a printer).
- If a new A/C control head -E87- has been installed and the "Basic Setting" was not carried out, the A/C Compressor Regulator Valve -N280- will not be activated and the compressor cut-off condition "6" is displayed in read measuring value block, display group 002.
- When the OBD is started, the control functions on the climate control are not interrupted, however they will be switched off during the following functions:
- Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)
- Initiate basic setting

When selecting other functions the control function remains completely functional.
