NOTE:
- Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type:
- VAG1921 hose clip pliers are recommended for installing spring-type clamps.
- Always replace seals and gaskets.

- For fuel tank lock switch

- Serves to secure fuel filler neck and Ground (GND) connection -item 15 -.

- Replace if damaged

- Ensure secure seating of connector and secure wire with securing bolt for fuel filler neck -item 9 -.
- After installing, check electrical connection of metal ring at fuel filler tube to a blank portion of chassis using Ohm meter.
- Specified value: approx. 0 Ohm

- Route Ground (GND) connection as shown in figure.
- First, engage contact -1- of Ground (GND) connection into securing opening on fuel tank -4-.
- Ensure connector -3- of Ground (GND) connection fits securely at metal ring -2- of fuel filler tube.
CAUTION: After installing, check electrical connection of metal ring at fuel filler tube to a blank portion of chassis using Ohm meter:
- Specified value: approx. 0 Ohm.
