Tie rods, removing and installing

Note: Check wheel alignment following repair work.

Removing
- Remove wheel.
- Removing coil spring.





- Unscrew bolts -1- and -2-.

Installing
Pay particular attention to the following on installation:
Note: Replacing bolts and self-locking nuts.





- Initially tighten bolts -1- and -2- to 20 Nm only.
- Installing coil spring.





- Proceed as follows to tighten bolted joints -1- and -2-:
- Lower vehicle onto wheels and loosen bolted joints.
- Bounce vehicle several times.
- Tighten bolts.
Tightening torques:
Items 1 and 2: 85 Nm plus additional 90° turn
- Check wheel alignment.
