Upper B-Pillar Trim, Removing And Installing

CAUTION: Note safety precautions for working on airbags and side curtain airbags.







1 - B pillar trim

- Removal:
- Remove outer seatbelt anchor.
- Remove upper A-pillar trim.
- Remove upper D-pillar trim.
- Remove B-pillar trim - 1 - from door rubber.
- Unclip lower two clips - 2 - at trim.
- Unclip upper two retaining tabs - 5 -at trim - 1 -.
- Remove trim - 1 - vertically downward.
- Remove lower belt on seat at outer belt buckle anchoring point.
- Thread belt - 3 - out of belt height adjuster - 4 -.

- Installing:

CAUTION: Always follow installation sequence for B-pillar trim.

NOTE: Button - 6 - must not be pressed during installation.

- Thread belt - 3 - into belt height adjuster - 4 -.
- Install belt height adjuster - 4 -.
- Clip B-pillar trim in at upper edge. Ensure that the two tabs - 5 - and two retainers - 7 - engage correctly (gap width must fit).
- Clip clips - 2 - to lower edge of upper B-pillar trim - 1 -.

CAUTION: Ensure trim is held securely.

NOTE:
- Function test after installing trim:
- Belt height adjuster must audibly engage into all five possible positions (even top position).
- Button must return by itself to upper position after being actuated.

- Guide slide with button - 4 - (without pressing) beginning at the top and working downward to release lever - 1 - of height adjuster while at the same time guiding pin - 2 - into mounting - 3 -.
