Securing transmission in vertical position
- Secure transmission to assembly support with bolts -1- and -2-.
- Secure transmission support VW 353 to support plate VW 309.





- Insert transmission into support clamp VW 313 using workshop crane.

WARNING!: The center of gravity is located outside the center of rotation of the support clamp. When rotating the transmission, a second mechanic must hold the transmission housing to prevent it from swinging around.





Securing transmission in horizontal position
- Secure transmission to engine and transmission support VW 540 (arrows).
- Insert transmission into support clamp VW 313 using workshop crane.

WARNING!: The center of gravity is located outside the center of rotation of the support clamp. When rotating the transmission, a second technician must hold the transmission housing to prevent it from swinging around.
