Front Seats (standard Seat), Removing And Installing
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Torque wrench V.A.G 1332
Front seat rail covers, removing and installing
1 - Front seat rail cover
- Removal:
- Slide front seat - 4 - fully to the rear.
- Remove securing clip - 2 - (2x).
- Remove seat rail cover - 1 - (2x).
- Remove bolts - 3 - (2x).
- Installing:
Installation is reverse of removal.
2 - Securing clip (Qty. 2)
3 - Bolts (Qty. 2)
- Tightening torque 50 Nm
4 - Front seat
Rear front seat rail cover, removing and installing
1 - Rear front seat rail cover
- Removal:
- Slide front seat - 4 - fully to the front.
- Remove securing clips - 2 - (4x).
- Remove seat rail cover - 1 - (2x).
- Remove bolt - 3 - (2x).
- Installing:
Installation is reverse of removal.
2 - Securing clip (Qty. 4)
3 - Bolts (Qty. 2)
- Tightening torque 50 Nm
4 - Front seat
Seat belt anchor, removing and installing
1 - Seat belt anchor
NOTE: On height-adjustable seat: Move seat up.
- Removal:
- Pull assembly cover - 2 - up and remove.
- Pull seat belt anchor - 1 - down in direction of arrow and remove.
- Installing:
Installation is reverse of removal.
2 - Assembly cover
Disconnecting connections
1 - Front seat
2 - Belt buckle sensor connector (black)
3 - Seat heater connector (green)
4 - Current supply connector (red)
5 - Airbag connector (yellow)
6 - Connector point cover
- Removal:
- Tip front seat - 1 - back.
- Remove coupling station cover - 6 - upward.
- Press in tab on airbag connector - 5 - on tunnel side and disconnect airbag connector - 5 -.
- Press in tab on connector for voltage supply - 4 - on tunnel side and disconnect connector for voltage supply - 4 -.
- Press in tab on connector for heated seat - 3 - on tunnel side and disconnect connector for heated seat - 3 -.
Vehicles with seatbelt fasten sensor:
- Press in tab on connector for seatbelt fasten sensor - 2 - on tunnel side and disconnect connector for seatbelt fasten sensor - 2 -.
All:
- Connect airbag adapter.
- Remove front seat - 1 -.
Installing:
Installation is reverse of removal.
