Front Airbag Crash Sensor, Assembly Overview

1 - Crash sensor, Driver's Front airbag -G283-and Passenger's Front airbag -G284-

See Cautions before beginning repairs on electrical system

- Removal
- Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.
- Remove as necessary the air guide appropriate to engine version.
- Disengage tab on yellow connector -3-and disconnect connector.
- Remove two bolts -2- at crash sensor -1-.
- Installing
- Switch ignition on.

WARNING: No person may be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

- Connect battery Ground (GND) strap.

2 - Bolts (2x)
- Tightening torque 9 Nm.
3 - Connector
4 - Lock carrier

NOTE:
- Observe safety precautions after connecting the battery.
- If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) -K75- signals a malfunction after installation, DTC memory must be interrogated, erased and once again interrogated using VAS 5051 tester.
